Welcome to Creative In A Cube!

How does this picture make you feel?

If you’re anything like me, this image conjures up a longing…longing for freedom from the confines of everyday life.

As an artist, this kind of freedom is something you crave. And yet, how do you act as both a responsible adult while also pursuing your dreams?

I created this blog to connect with other creative minds who are currently working a day job while they pursue their artistic dreams.

You’ll find everything from advice on surviving in the cubicle world, to musings on anxiety, giftedness, and sensitivity, to posts that will encourage you to express your most authentic self no matter where you are in your journey.

Sensitivity: Coping in the Workplace- – unmentIt took a very long time for me to realize certain truths about myself. I had never seen sensitivity as a particularly appealing trait. Instead of acknowledging it earlier in life, I pushed my awareness of it deep down, where I might never have to look too closely at…

You Are the Scribe- A story is an entity of its own. The characters will seek you out, arising from the depths of the creative universe. They will ask you to complete a seemingly simple task: write their story. Record them on paper so they can finally be seen and heard. Despite all the…
